Cailey Bracken, a senior at Mountain Ridge High in Utah, placed ninth in the 5-kilometer girls championship race in 18:12 at the Foot Locker West Regional at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Bracken qualified for the second year in a row to compete at the national final, looking to improve on a 32nd-place finish from last season when she races Dec. 9 at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego, Calif.
